How to get started - therapy and counseling in Ann Arbor
The Intake Process
Please complete the contact me form here. I’ll reply within 24-48 hours answering any questions you have and offering a time for us to connect by phone within a few days (excluding weekends). Once we commit to a time, I will call you at the number you identified as the best way to reach you. We’ll have about 15 minutes to discuss your goals and how I might help. If you feel we’ll be a good fit, we’ll schedule a first appointment within 7 days.
Rates, fees, and insurance
At this time, I do not participate with any insurance panels. Fee is $165 per 50-min* psychotherapy session. All clients place a card on file through Ivy Pay, a payment processing app designed for therapists. Ivy Pay's HIPAA-secure design places your privacy first. Debit cards, credit cards, and FSA/HSA cards are all accepted. Did you know that therapy is an eligible healthcare expense? If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you can use your card to pay for therapy services. I do provide monthly receipts to clients so that they may submit to their insurance co for partial reimbursement.
*Extended sessions and EMDR intensives are available for an additional fee.

Online therapy for adults in Ann Arbor and across Michigan as well as Connecticut. Sessions are conducted over a secure, HIPPA-compliant platform. Sessions can be completed in the privacy and comfort of your own home. No stressing over traffic, parking, weather, or contagious illness.
Follow-up Counseling & Therapy Sessions
After our first session, follow-up sessions are scheduled at a frequency of weekly or every other week. I do not offer monthly visits for new clients, though clients may transition to less frequency over time. At the beginning of our work together, the more frequently you attend therapy, the more quickly you see results and the better you feel.
If you need to cancel an APPOINTMENT
Life happens, I understand. Please do give me 24-hours notice of your need to cancel your appointment or a $100 late cancel fee will apply. Your appointment is reserved for you and with such short notice, I am not able to offer it to someone else. If you miss your appointment without notifying me in advance, or “no-show” to your appointment, a $100 fee will apply. Fee will be waived in the event of emergency or urgent family matters, decided on case by case basis.
